Who Am I
Warren Sheehan: The Story Behind the Lens
Who I Am & Where I Come From
Hello, my name is Warren Sheehan. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, I grew up in a family of petrol-heads with a deep-seated appreciation for all things automotive. My very first memory is standing at the top of Wesbank Corner at Kyalami, squeezed between my father and uncle, watching 1,100 BHP Formula One cars drifting in the hands of legends like Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. That raw power and visceral energy grabbed my attention instantly; it sparked a passion that has shaped my approach to everything I do to this day.
My Background
While my professional background in photography began more recently, my creative side has been fueled by thirty years of yearning to be trackside at every possible opportunity. This decades-long obsession has given me a unique, "insider's" perception of motorsport. I don’t just see a car; I see the visual and artistic narrative of speed, which I translate daily into the handcrafted prints I create.
The "Why" Behind My Business
During my time trackside, I noticed a recurring gap: most motorsport photography felt like a clinical documentation of a race rather than a piece of art that someone would want to hang in their home or office. I started this business because I realized that collectors were looking for something more than just a snapshot—they wanted the "soul" of the machine captured in a way that respects its heritage. My "aha moment" came when I saw how a well-composed shot of a vintage racer could evoke the same adrenaline I felt at Kyalami as a child.
What I Aim to Achieve
My goal for this business is to redefine automotive art by providing enthusiasts with limited-edition prints that bridge the gap between technical precision and fine art. Ultimately, I aim to build a legacy where my work helps preserve the golden eras of motorsport for the next generation of collectors, ensuring that the spirit of the greats like Senna and Prost remains a permanent fixture in modern spaces well into 2026 and beyond.
